N. Stark Obituary

N. Alice Stark passed away surrounded by her family on Thursday, May 17, 2018. Alice loved the Lord and went peacefully to be with Him and be reunited with her husband. She was born on December 7, 1924 to Milford Filmore and Eula Lee Sircy in Difficult, Tennessee. She married Millard Hampton in 1944 until his death in 1969, and married Glenn Stark in 1981 until his passing in 2002.

Alice had many interests and talents, and a passion for helping others, making many dresses for Haiti through her church. She also made hand towels for Relay for Life and donated proceeds to a family in need. She was a professional quilter, making quilts for the Amish and many others that either had them made or tailored by her, and also donated quilts to help those in need. She spent much time cross stitching, crocheting and cooking for others, as well. Never knowing a stranger, she was kind and giving; always willing to go out of her way to help anyone in need.

Alice was active in the Peru Circus in the 1970s, being the kiddie clown producer. She was a member of the Miami County Home Extension Club and Horticulture Clubs, Beeline Clothing Century Club and was a Stanley Products Outstanding Sales Associate. She attended Eastpointe Church. Alice had a deep faith and loved the Bible, gospel music, and serving the Lord.

Studying Judo in her earlier years, she was very proficient in her skills and she delighted her grandchildren in practicing and showing the moves with them. She studied Judo as well as Powderpuff Mechanics with her best friend, Pauline Gentry.
