Kenneth Critchlow Obituary

Kenneth Keith Critchlow, 64, peacefully passed away at home surrounded by family on Wednesday April 2, 2014 at 7:26 am. Ken was born in Kokomo{ IN to Paul and Irene Critchlow on December 9, 1949. He married Ella (Bolin) Critchlow on July 14, 1995 and she survives. He was a man with an abundance of humor and got great joy in making others smile with his quick wit and outrageous jokes. He was employed with Heraeus Electro-Nite for 17 years in quality control before becoming disabled. He enjoyed his work days entertaining his co-workers with his amusing and mischievous personality. Ken also enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Ken was an avid IU basketball fan and enjoyed fishing in his earlier years. He was always willing to lend a hand and share his words of wisdom. He had a great love for nurturing stray cats and spent much of his time with his beloved feline family. He is survived by his wife of 18 years Ella Critchlow; daughter Karla (Steve) Dietzel; daughter Cyndy (Kevin) Sexton; son Kenny Critchlow; daughter Nicole (Mike) Combs; daughter Stephanie (John) Maxwell; daughter Ashley (Andy) Phillips; step-daughter Pam (John) Atwood; step-son Karl (Judy) Mattingly; 20 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; sister Joan Closson; and his beloved fur-babies Buddy, Snug, Pumpkin, Charlie, and Missy. He was preceded in death by both parents, his brother Bobby, and 2 grandchildren. A service celebrating the life of Kenneth K. Critchlow will be held at 4pm Saturday, April 5, 2014 at Flowers-Leedy funeral home, 105 W. 3rd St. Peru, IN, with calling time two hours prior to service with Pastor Robert Bogue officiating. Memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to Shelley's Cat Haven. Arrangements were entrusted to Flowers-Leedy funeral home.
