Obituary

William “Bill” Joseph Berkheiser, 81, of Avon Park, Florida passed away at the Hospice House in Sebring, Florida on March 24, 2023.

He was born in Peru, Indiana to the late Joe and Alice (Mygrant) Berkheiser on August 11, 1941. He married Julia Ann “Judy”McCain-Hayworth on May 13, 1962 and she preceded him in death on October 15, 2016.

Bill worked at Square D and enjoyed camping and boating in his younger years.

He is survived by his son, Michael “Mike” Berkheiser of Avon Park, Florida, brothers; Donnie (Emma) Berkheiser of Peru, Indiana and Floyd (Nancy) Berkheiser of Cape Coral, Florida, and sister-in-law, Gail Berkheiser of Lakeview, Arkansas.

Bill is preceded in death by his parents, wife, children; Lori Ann Berkheiser and Jeffery Allen Berkheiser, and brothers; Jim Berkheiser and Charles Berkheiser.

Internment will take place at Mount Hope Cemetery in Peru, Indiana.
