On Monday, December 21, 2020 at 4:55am, William Levi Andrews left this world for his heavenly home.
William was born on September 15, 1940 to Clarence and Bertha Andrews in Mount Gilead, Ohio. He entered the Air Force after graduation. While stationed in England, he met his wife, Celia. After William left the service, he returned to Grissom Air Force Base as a Civil Servant, working in the commissary where he was known as "Andy". He enjoyed coaching girls’ softball, playing cards, and family gatherings. After retirement, you would find Bill on the golf course with his friends, or traveling across the country with his wife. Bill absolutely loved life!
Bill is survived by his loving wife Celia, his children Ricky & Lori Andrews, Tracy Gier, Susan & John Benedict, and Karen & Brian Carter. Also surviving, are his grandchildren, Leah, Courtney, Jared, Kirsten, Richelle, Joanna, Sarah, Seth and one great granddaughter Vera. Bill is also survived by his two sisters, Jane & Neil Benson and Linda McPeek. Bill was preceded in death by his sister Janet Fahl.
Bill will be deeply missed by his family. Visitation will be held from 10am to 11am on Saturday, December 26, 2020 at Flowers-Leedy Funeral Home, 105 West Third Street, Peru, Indiana. A private family service will follow at 11 am, with Pastor Rod Correll officiating. Burial will take place at Mount Hope Cemetery in Peru, with military service provided by the Miami County Military Rites Team.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, face coverings will be required and social distancing guidelines will be observed.
Memorial donations may be made to the Miami County Military Rites Team.
