Willadean O'Neal Obituary

Willadean O’Neal, 88, of Peru passed away just before 5pm on Thursday, April 4, 2019 at Blair Ridge Health Campus, after a short illness.

She was born in Miami County on August 7, 1930 to Floyd and Irene (Cushman) Brown. She married Joseph L. O’Neal in 1949, and he preceded her in death on September 23, 1988. Willadean retired from Wabash Valley Bank, and was a member of the Peru Church of the Brethren.

She is survived by her children: Linda J. Balsbaugh (Kevin) of Peru, Vicki L. Huehls (Kenny) of Meridianville, AL, and Cheryl G. Medlin (Bob) of Marietta, GA; as well as eight grandchildren: Paul Peconga (Amber), Jim Peconga (Shana), Noah Peconga (Miranda), Ben Seitzer, Tim Seitzer (Mindy), Doug Seitzer (Catherine), Krissy Kamil (Mete), and Stephanie Claborn (Jonathan); and 14 great-grandchildren. Also surviving is a sister, Marjorie Phares of Shelbyville, IN.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and brothers Eugene Brown, Russell Brown, Richard Brown, and Edwin Brown.

Burial will take place in the Chili Cemetery. A private family service will be held at a later date.
