Waneta Pearl (Garber) Jenkins, 89, of Bunker Hill passed away at her residence on Tuesday, December 13, 2022.
She was born in Miami county on October 28, 1933 to the late Charles and Madge (Reed) Garber.
Waneta graduated from Bunker Hill High School in 1951. She married Earl “Casey” Jenkins on July 5, 1952. They were married for 65 years prior to his death on July 1, 2017.
Throughout her life, she was employed at Sengers, Sears, Wabash Valley Bank, and First Farmers Bank.
Waneta is survived by her son, James “Jim” (Tami) Jenkins of Bunker Hill, four grandchildren; Tyler (Kristen) Jenkins, Kodi (Stephanie) Jenkins, Ethan Jenkins, Abbi Jenkins, eight great-grandchildren; Ainslee, Evie, Marlowe & Isla Jenkins, Hunter and Kenli Jenkins, Kelton Jenkins, and Kylan Trexler, sister, Marcella Garrett of Kokomo, and brothers; Connie (Sue) Garber of Peru and Terry Garber of Peru.
She is preceded in death by her husband and sister, Louise Bowyer.
Visitation will be held from 11am to 1pm on Saturday, December 17, 2022 at the McGrawsville Community Church, 9377 South 300 East, Amboy, Indiana 46911. Funeral service will follow at 1pm with Pastor Doug Benham and Denny Harts officiating. Burial will take place at Rankin Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be given to the McGrawsville Community Church in Waneta’s memory.
