Velma Jean “Bobby” Mullett, 96, of Kokomo (formerly of Peru), passed away on Thursday, August 20, 2020 at Waterford Place in Kokomo.
She was born in Converse, Indiana on August 12, 1924 to John D. and Altha May (Leckrone) Cochran. She married Donald Eugene Mullett and Richard Lee Mullett, and both preceded her in death. She worked as the manager of Royal Orleans Apartments. Bobby always referred to her kids and grandkids as her “babies” – she loved her family dearly. She enjoyed playing cards and bingo, and also enjoyed going to the casino.
She is survived by her children: Danny (Marcia) Mullett of Kokomo, Jerry Mullett of Sebring, FL, and LeeAnn (Phil) Martin of Logansport; daughter-in-law Kristie Mullett of Greentown; as well as 14 grandchildren, several great- and great-great-grandchildren. Also, sister Janet Hyatt of New Albany, OH, sister Pat Cole of Converse, IN; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, son David Mullett, and son John Mullett; great-grandson, Aidan Mullett, great granddaughter,Brittany Mullett; and sisters Iretha Scott, Maxine Dickens, Doris Hursh, and Dorotha Buckalew.
A graveside service will be held at Mount Hope Cemetery in Peru, IN on Saturday, September 5, 2020 at 2pm with Pastor Mike Stow officiating.
