Obituary

Thomas Eugene DuChane, born October 5, 1945 in Bay City, Michigan, passed away March 1, 2020 at the age of 74 in Debary, Florida. He graduated from Bay City High School in 1963.  After graduation, he joined the United States Air Force and proudly served his country as a jet mechanic. After his military service, Tom married and had three children with Janet (Cowan) DuChane (Peru, IN).  He also started his career at Peru Trust Company Bank and moved up to Vice President of the loan office. Tom's career was sadly cut short due to a diagnosis of Multiple Sclerosis. He was loved and respected by his colleagues.

If you knew "Tommy",  you would know that he was an avid sports fan. He loved watching IU basketball, Michigan football, Chicago Cubs baseball, professional golf, and boxing. He was very athletic and enjoyed playing racquetball, softball, wrestling, and swimming.  If he wasn’t at work, you could find him doing what he loved most, playing golf.

While living in Florida, he loved spending time with his dogs and dreaming about snowmobiling in Michigan, fishing at Burt Lake, and playing golf at the Peru Municipal Golf Course. He always had a good story to tell about his friends and the fun times they had. Although he was burdened by his MS diagnosis, he would remind you, "Never give up".

He is survived by his three children Bryan DuChane (Florence, SC), Montelle DuChane (Kokomo, IN), and Angie DuChane (Florence, SC).  There will be no public service for Tom. The family appreciates kind words, shared memories, and your prayers.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Flowers-Leedy Funeral Home. Family and friends may sign the online guestbook at www.FlowersLeedyAllen.com.
