Shirley Dianne Knappen, 77, of Denver, passed away at 7:22am on Monday, November 15, 2021 at Visiting Nurse Hospice in Fort Wayne.
She was born in Miami County on December 11, 1943 to Earl and Jean (Moore) Clingaman. She married George Knappen on February 17, 1962, and he survives. He and Dianne were sealed all time in eternity at the temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Washington DC in 1977. Dianne was a homemaker. She was creative and artistic, and brought joy to many people. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
She is survived by her husband and their children: Holly (John) Cattin of Mexico, William (Cathy) Knappen of Wasilla, Alaska, Edward (Tracy) Knappen of Macy, and Mindy (Jon) Hullinger of Arizona; as well as 14 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Also surviving is brother Melvin Clingaman of Roann.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Barry Clingaman, sister Joyce Stanton, and sister Sharie Clingaman.
A celebration of life will be held from 5:30pm to 7pm on Friday, November 19, 2021 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 4121 High Street, Logansport, Indiana.
