Sherrill D. "Cub" Rogers, 61, of Peru passed away at his residence on January 27, 2016, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born in Peru, Indiana on January 3, 1955 to Canie Rogers and Agnes (Sizemore) Fouts. He married Kathy Kaukusch on July 17, 1976. Cub worked in the maintenance department at Armour-Eckrich Meats, and his hobbies were gardening and upholstering.
He is survived by his wife, Kathy, and daughter Sherilyn Evans (husband, Tyler) of Peru, as well as grandson, Jayden Evans. He is also survived by a brother, Jack Rogers of Denver, Indiana, and sisters Lois McCoy (husband, Verlin) of Connersville, Indiana and Marcia Rogers of Stanton, Kentucky. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, as well as three brothers: Larry Campbell, Sherman Rogers, and Banford Rogers; and three sisters: Verlene Rogers, Linda Morecraft, and Brenda Baldwin.
Friends may call at the Flowers-Leedy Funeral Home on Saturday, February 6, 2016 from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM. A memorial service will follow at 3:00 PM, with Pastor E.J. Litherland and Rev. Dr. Richard Birden officiating.
