Sadona Fay (McFadden) Lowe

Sadona Fay Lowe, 84, passed away on Saturday, February 4, 2023 at Wellbrooke of Kokomo.

She was born in Peru, Indiana on December 14, 1938 to the late Arthur and Mary Ellen (Herd) McFadden.  On September 13, 1980, she married Carl Lowe. 

Sadona graduated from Peru High School in 1957.  Then, she graduated from the Kokomo School of Nursing in 1971.  She was a member of the Miami County Homemakers Extension club and she served as the president for many years. She was also a member of the Howard-Miami Mennonite Church.  After many years of working as an industrial nurse, she retired from Heraeus Electro-Nite. 

Sadona was a very vibrant woman who had a knack for making people laugh.  She always surrounded herself with her friends and family. She loved fishing, boating, and traveling. Sadona loved hearing the names “Mom” and “Meemaw” because she loved being with her children and grandchildren. She was a role model for her family to follow Christ as well as a very giving, nurturing, and entertaining lady.     

Sadona is survived by her children:  Michele (Arne) Pedersen, Cassandra (James) Knolinski, Julie Lowe, and Dale Lowe; grandchildren, Faith Pedersen, Grace Ellen Knolinski, Jyllian Knolinski, Kris Hiers, and Stephanie Buck. 

Sadona was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Lowe and a daughter, Lisa (Lesher) VanVlerah.

Visitation will be held from 10am-12pm on Friday, February 10, 2023 at the Allen Funeral Home, 136 South Elm Street, Bunker Hill, Indiana. Funeral service will follow at 12pm, with Pastor Dennis Harts officiating.  Burial will take place at Rankin Cemetery, Miami County, Indiana.
