Rozena E. (Hiers) Hudson

Rozena E. “Rosie” Hudson, 94, of Peru passed away on Sunday, April 27, 2025.

She was the daughter of Ira “Ike” and Sarah (Riggle) Hiers. Rosie started working at Redman’s Basket Factory at the age of 16 and retired from there. During times of lay off, she worked at Laidlaw’s, Modern Packaging, and Woodcrest.

Rosie is survived by her sons, Charles (Sharon) Patterson, and Steve (Debbie) Hudson, both of Peru, daughter, Sara (Mike Graves) Wooten of Bunker Hill, IN, 11 grandchildren; Dawn, Justin, Angie, Jess, Gwen, Seth, Patty, Becky, Levi, Jeff, and Katie, 14 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, 5 siblings, 1 daughter, Jenny Hahn, and 1 grandson, Andrew Hahn.

A graveside service will be held at 11am on Tuesday, April 29, 2025 at Mount Hope Cemetery in Peru.
