Rosellen (Wilson) Carriger

Rosellen (Wilson) Carriger, 84, of Peru, passed away on Thursday, June 27, 2024 at Blair Ridge Health Campus in Peru.  She was born on January 26, 1940 to Earl and Mary (Hutchison) Wilson in Peru, Indiana.

She graduated from Peru High School in 1958 and attended business school in Indianapolis.   She retired from Wabash Valley Bank and Trust/First of America, then went on to work in the Miami County Treasurer’s Office, LaSalle St. Securities, and ran the Duke Memorial Hospital Gift Shop. 

Rosie is survived by sons Ted A Moon, James E (Jennifer) Moon, Chad M (Kayla) Moon; stepdaughter Christine (Shawn) Razor; grandchildren Eric J. (Julia) Moon, Megan A. Moon, Mollie Moon; great-grandson Richard James Moon; brother, Larry E. Wilson; sisters-in-law Sue Lawson and Cheryl (Mark) Caldwell; cousins, nieces, and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Ed Carriger, sister Kay Workman, and brother-in-law Richard ”Skeeter” Workman.

The family would like to express their most sincere gratitude to Rosie’s guardian angel and caregiver, Leanne Wahlig.

Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm on Tuesday, July 2, 2024 at Mount Hope Cemetery Chapel, in Peru with a graveside service to follow.  Arrangements provided by Flowers-Leedy Funeral Home. Family and friends may sign the online guestbook at www.FlowersLeedyAllen.com.
