Ronald (Ronnie) Wayne Starkey

Ronald "Ronnie" Wayne Starkey, 80, of Bunker Hill, passed away on Sunday, December 20, 2020, surrounded by family.

He was born to Marion & Louise Starkey on September 13, 1940.  He graduated from Bunker Hill High School in 1959. He retired from Chrysler Transmission in 1990, and was an active member of UAW Local 685. He enjoyed mushroom hunting, fishing, and storytelling, and was an avid IU and Chicago Bears fan.  He was also a member of Loree Brethren Church.

He is survived by his wife Karen (Rennaker); daughters Corrina (Mike) Wilson of Newnan, GA, Julie (Dan) Williams of Bunker Hill, and Elaine (Jim) Grant of Portland, TX; and stepson Stephen Sherman of Macy; and grandchildren Andy Wilson, Gregory Grant, Morgan Grant, and Mason Williams.  Also surviving are brothers James (Lois) Starkey of Swayzee, IN, Ralph (Patsy) Starkey of Florence, AL, Morris (Donna) Starkey of Bunker Hill, IN, Max (Leah) Starkey of Peru, IN, and sister Judith (Mike) Golitko of Greentown, IN.  Also, sister-in-law Kathi Gibson of Kokomo, and brother-in-law Dave Rennaker of Kokomo, brother-in-law Steve Rennaker of Washington, sister-in-law Lela Starkey Miller of Kokomo, and sister-in-law Virginia Starkey of Blaine, MN.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Sammy Jo, Gene, Dale and Robert Starkey; brother-in-law Mike Rennaker, and parents-in-law Janet Riley and Russell Rennaker.

Visitation will be held at 2pm on Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at Allen Funeral Home, 136 South Elm, Bunker Hill, Indiana.  A private family funeral service will follow at 3pm, with Rev. Morris Starkey officiating.  Burial will take place at Springdale Cemetery in Bunker Hill.
