Ronald “Ron” Eugene See, 79, of Peru went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 2, 2025 at his residence.
He was born June 20, 1946 to Albert Forker and Caroline See in Peru, Indiana.
He served our country in the Marine Corps from July 1, 1963 to June 30, 1967 in the Vietnam Era. Ron retired from Peru Utilities in 2004 after 32 years of service. He enjoyed fishing, traveling, eating, and his favorite pastime was telling jokes. Ron was an avid Steelers and NASCAR Dale Earnhardt Sr. fan. He also loved his 2 fur babies.
Ron was a member of Zion Chapel Church in Peru. He was a great husband, father, stepfather, grandfather, and great grandfather. In addition to his wife Marla of 40 years, he is survived by his children, Becky See (Mike), Ronnie See (KT), Eric See, Amanda Miller (Bennitt) (Chris), stepsons, Joe Sopher (Jody), Scott Sopher (Pam), several grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is also survived by two sisters, Jackie Fultz and Patricia Daniels.
Ron is preceded in death by his parents, stepdad, 1 great grandson, 5 brothers, and 3 sisters.
Visitation will be held at Zion Chapel Church, 915 South Broadway, Peru from 11am to 2pm on Thursday, August 7, 2025. The funeral service will follow at 2pm with Pastor Rod Correll officiating. Military rites will be provided by the Miami County Military Rites Team. Interment will take place at Ever-Rest Memorial Park Cemetery in Logansport, Indiana.
