Ronald F. Droscha (76) left for his true and eternal home on Wednesday, June 30, 2021.
Ron was born in Lansing, MI, on October 19, 1944, to Willard and Glenna Droscha. He married Donna Grissom on June 21, 1969. They were married 48 years until her death in September of 2017.
Ron and Donna were the loving parents of four children: Diana (Matt) Yoo, Laurie (Eric) Smoldt, Andrea (Matt) Hayden and Scott (Tammy) Droscha. They took great delight in their 13 grandchildren: Jarrod, Justin, Jason and Hannah Yoo; Zane, Carolyn and Trevor Smoldt; Garrett, Evelyn and Wesley Hayden; and Gabriel, Grant and Zachary Droscha.
Ron was blessed to find love again and married Susan Landgrave on August 10, 2019. He welcomed the addition of bonus children Chris (Sunshine) Landgrave and Cathie (Scott) Zimmerman, and grandchildren Allie Landgrave, and Jonah and Micah Zimmerman.
Ron was a graduate of Mason High School and Michigan State University. He worked for the Amoco Corporation in Michigan and Ohio before the family moved to Peru, IN, in 1980. He became the owner/broker of Century 21 Creative Realtors where he continued working until his death.
Ron loved the Lord. He was a long-time member of the Peru First Baptist Church. He also found fellowship with the members of the Peru Grace Brethren Church. Ron enjoyed serving at church and with the Peru Lion’s Club. He was a nature enthusiast who loved flowers and using his green thumb.
Ron is survived by his wife Susan, his children, grandchildren, mother Glenna, and brothers Ruben, David (Susan), Alan and Chris (Jeanie) Droscha. He was preceded in death by wife Donna, father Willard, brother Rudy and grandson Connor Droscha.
Visitation will be held at the First Baptist Church, 53 E. Main Street, Peru, IN, on Monday, July 5, 2021, from 2pm-4pm. The service will follow at 4pm. Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery, Aurelius Township, MI, on Tuesday, July 6, 2021, at 2pm. Memorial contributions may be made in Ron’s memory to Peru First Baptist Church, Grace Brethren Church or the Peru Lion’s Club.
