Rebecca Anne (Moulder) Moxley

Rebecca (Becky) Anne Moxley, age 63, of Peru, Indiana, passed away Tuesday, March 7, 2023 after a short but hard fought battle with cancer. She was born to Bennett Clay and Joyce Evelyn Moulder on November 27, 1959 in Mattoon, Illinois.

Becky is survived by her loving husband James (Jim) Moxley, her beautiful mother, sister Mendy (Bryan), (4) daughters, Aubrey Coats of Kokomo, IN, Megan Morris of Kokomo, IN, Sarah Bauder of Peru, IN, Dresden (Devon) Wright of Kokomo, IN, (3) sons Jeremiah Willner of Florida, Bennett (Toni) Peterson of Peru, IN, Donovan (Kayla) Moxley of Plano, TX; (13) grandchildren, (1) great-grandchild, and (4) nephews. Becky was preceded in death by her handsome father, and her sister and best friend Ruthie Nelson.

Becky moved to Peru in 1992. She worked at Square D for 21 years. She retired during the factory shut-down in 2019. Following retirement, she began schooling and obtained an associate’s degree for Accounting in 2022. She had aspirations in resurrecting her business, “Becky’s Hobby Ceramics.” 

Everyone who knew Becky felt her beautiful heart and giving nature. She married the love of her life, Jim, in Gatlinburg, Tennessee on 11-11-11. She enjoyed traveling, site seeing, and spending time at home with Jim, her cats Skittles and Doofus, and her dog Rowdy. Although most of her time was spent caring for her family and loved ones, she enjoyed nature and taking photos of any animals that showed up in her secluded yard. During any family get together, she could normally be found smiling, wearing her favorite plaid shirt, with a camera in her hand taking unsuspected pictures or videos of anyone she could. She also enjoyed attending ceramic classes as well as teaching others about the details of ceramics. She used these times to bond with family and friends or start new friendships.  

The family would like to thank the Guardian Angels Hospice team and several nurses from Lutheran Hospital-Ft. Wayne and Dukes Memorial Hospital-Peru for their compassionate care. They'd also like to thank all of their family, friends, and coworkers for incredible support and prayers during the difficult time.

Services for her family and close friends only will be held at Flowers-Leedy Funeral Home on March 13, 2023.
