Randall (Randy) Brown, 76, of Mexico, Indiana went home to Heaven and was reunited with the love of his life on Saturday August 9th, 2025 at 4:10am, he was surrounded by his family during his passing.
Randy was born to Glen and Betty (Brooks) Brown on July 26th, 1949 in Peru, Indiana. Randy graduated from North Miami High School in 1968. After graduation he became a Vietnam Veteran of the United States Marine Corps. Randy retired from Chrysler as a machine operator in July of 2007.
Randy met the love of his life Ruby (Rogers) Brown in 1977 and they married on July 27th, 1979. They celebrated 44 wonderful years of marriage together before her death on February 20th, 2024.
Randy was a loving husband, dad, son, brother, papaw, and g-paw! He enjoyed spending time with his family, hosting cookouts, and swimming in their family pool together! He enjoyed taking rides with his wife through the country side looking for deer and watching their hummingbirds at their feeders. He enjoyed watching Colts football and IU basketball games! Randy enjoyed the outdoors, working in his yard and golfing.
Randy is survived by five children: Scott Brown-Peru, IN, Beth (Terry) Kelly-Denver, IN, Joni (Ray) Briscoe- Peru, IN, Tony (Kathy) Croyle- Tacoma, WA, and Matthew (Jessica) Brown- Mexico, IN. He had 11 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Randy had three sisters: Carla Roser- Peru, IN, Kim (Denny) McGuire- Mexico, IN, and Kelly (Allen) Stuber- Mexico, IN, he also had one brother: Daniel (Peggy) Brown- Peru, IN. His sister in-law, Marcia Brown- Peru, IN. Randy is survived by his wife's siblings, that were more than just in-laws to him: Bill (Bobbie) Rogers- Peru, IN, Patricia (John) Mersch- Peru, IN, Linda (Jeff) Tinney- Peru, IN, Robin (Rob) Balser- Cecilia, Ky, Missy Clark-Peru, IN. He is survived by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his wife-Ruby Brown, dad-Glen Brown, brother-Roger Brown, brother in-laws: Toby Rogers, Frank Rogers, David Rogers, Delbert Rogers, Sister in-laws: Janet Davis, Aline Owens, Emma Bowman, and Donna Spencer.
Randy's family is going to miss him like crazy and would like to thank everyone that was involved in his cancer care from Kokomo Cancer Center (Dr. Moore), Community Hospital North in Indianapolis, and Elara Hospice Health Care. The viewing will take place at Flower's-Leedy Funeral Home from 3pm to 7pm Thursday August 14th and the funeral service will be Friday August 15th at 11am and a small viewing will take place before the service at 10am to 11am. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery in Mexico, IN.
