Obituary

Ramona Kay Weiss, 69, passed away on Friday, May 20, 2022 at Indiana University Medical Center in Indianapolis.

She was born on August 24, 1952 to Charles Helgamo and Thelma (Townsend) Arthur. Ramona married Charles “Chuck” Weiss on July 3, 1981 and he survives.

Ramona enjoyed spending time arranging flowers and gardening.

She is survived by her husband, children; Monica (Norman) Jennings, Karla (Tony) Jones, grandchildren; Cheyenne Gehle, Savannah (Caleb) Bailey, Kaylyn Olds, great grandchildren; Tyler Brown, Rowan Connors, James Bailey, siblings; Chad Hiers, Olaf Hiers, aunts; Helena White, Joanetta Jones, and several cousins. She is also survived by her beloved dog Amber Fox.

Ramona is preceded in death by her parents and sister, Opal Helgamo.

A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, May 26, 2022 at Zion Chapel Church, 915 South Broadway, Peru, Indiana, from 10am to 11:30am. Funeral service will follow at 11:30am with Pastor Rod Correll officiating.
