Rachel C. (Bell) Holy, born November 17, 1943, in Peru, Indiana,

Died March 31, 2026 at home surrounded by her family.

Parents: Henry O. and Mary Helen (Collier) Bell.

Rachel married Willard (Bill) Holy Jr. on November 10, 1963, in Peru, Indiana.

Rachel graduated from Peru High School in 1961. After graduating from Indiana University in 1996, she opened her own accounting and tax preparation business. Rachel was instrumental in establishing a scholarship fund at IUK for accounting or business majors from the three high schools in Miami County.

Rachel is survived by her husband, Bill, and her daughters: Christine M. Ray (Donald) and Beth A. Hale; four grandchildren: Brandon Ray, James Ray (Courtney Baxter), Sydney L. Hale and Alanna M. Hale; and two great grandchildren. And one sister: Barbara Cotton.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers (Charles Bell and Thomas Bell) and four sisters (Virginia Starkey, Vivian Ireland, Harriet Bell, Melissa Faucheux)

There will be no viewing; services will be held in the chapel at Mount Hope Cemetery, 411 North Grant Street, Peru, on April 10, 2026 at 1:00pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, P. O. Box 6704, Hagerstown, MD 21741.
