Paula Ferguson Obituary

Paula Renee (Logsdon) Ferguson – 63 passed away unexpectedly on August 15th, 2024, in Bossier City, LA.  She was born in Peru, Indiana February 9th, 1961, to the late Houston and Mary Lou (Perry) Logsdon.  She grew up in Peru, IN and was a 1979 graduate of Peru High School.  She married Richard Ferguson May 8, 1993, and together they moved to Bossier City, Louisiana.

A proud veteran, Paula served her country in the United States Air Force from April 16, 1980, to 1982. After her service, she worked as a bank teller until retiring in 2016.

Paula was formerly a member of the Peru First Church of the Nazarene. She enjoyed traveling with her sister Toni, playing the piano, cooking, playing CandyCrush and spending time with her grandchildren.

In addition to her husband Richard Ferguson (Bossier City, LA) of thirty-one years, she is survived by her sons Kevin (Stacy) Kramer (Edmond, OK) and Matthew (Samantha) Kramer (Minden, LA), and a stepson Richard “Richie” (Sarah) Ferguson, (Indianapolis, IN) and stepdaughter Jennifer Ferguson (Tennessee).  She is also survived by eight grandchildren including, Peyton Kramer, Haylen Kramer, Sutton Kramer, Juliette Kramer, Magnolia Kramer, as well as Sydney Rademaker, Thatcher Ferguson, and Brandon Ferguson along with one great grandson CJ Fergson that she loved and adored visited often and was known to them as “Nana.”

She is also survived by several siblings including sisters Toni Dunn (Peru, IN) and Deborah Poore (Noblesville, IN).  Brothers include Aaron (Jean) Logsdon (Peru, IN), J. Mark (Lois) Davis (Peru, IN), Phillip (Heidi) Davis, (Carmel, IN), and Dr. Houston (Jenne) Logsdon II (Berne, IN) In addition, she had several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and great, great nieces and nephews. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Daniel Logsdon, and David Davis and one sister Mary Coons as well as her stepmother Lena Logsdon and two brother-in-law’s Joseph Dunn and Nathan Coons.

A small viewing “service” was held for her Louisiana friends and family on Tuesday, August 20th from 9:50-10:20am at Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home in Haughton, LA.  A service to celebrate her life with family and friends will be held at Loree Brethren Church, 8483 S Strawtown Pike, Bunker Hill, IN at 11am, October 12, 2024 and she will be laid to rest at Everest Memorial Cemetery, Logansport, IN.
