Orville Hansford, 77, of Peru passed away at his residence on Thursday, January 2, 2020.
He was born in Harlan, Kentucky on August 17, 1942 to Jene and Laura (Bryant) Hansford. He married Polly (Bailey) Hansford on April 21, 1962. Orville was employed at Rock Industries for 33 years as a mechanic and retired from Local Union 103 as an equipment operator and mechanic. He is also a member of the Church of Christ. Orville enjoyed spending time outdoors and fishing.
He is survived by his wife, Polly Hansford, as well as their children: Tabitha (Trevor) Hyde of Peru and Jimmy (Paula) Hansford of Peru. Also surviving are four grandchildren: Adrian Hansford, Presley Hyde, Ethan Hyde, and Mackey Hyde. Also surviving is a sister, Alma Sheperd, of Slemp, Kentucky.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Edward Hansford.
Visitation will be held from 10am-1pm on Monday, January 6, 2020 at Flowers-Leedy Funeral Home, 105 West Third Street, Peru, Indiana, with funeral services to follow at 1pm with Minister Al Datson officiating. Burial will follow at Ever-Rest Memorial Park Cemetery in Logansport, Indiana.
