Norma May (Wolf) Alspaugh, 92, of Peru passed away at Blair Ridge Health Campus on Sunday, April 16, 2023.
She was born in Miami County on May 2, 1930 to the late Elmer and Edith (Binkerd) Wolf. Norma married Donald Alspaugh on May 15, 1949. They were married 71 years prior to his passing on February 7, 2021.
Norma was a 1948 graduate of Peru High School. She was a member of McNeely Memorial Church in Lewisburg, Indiana. She was a skilled quilter and made many beautiful quilts. She enjoyed reading and was always up for a game of cards with friends. After retirement, Norma enjoyed traveling with Don and they took many trips with the Carriage Club. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and her greatest joy in life was her family.
Norma is survived by her children; Mark (Karen) Alspaugh of Littleton, Colorado, Kay (James) Ridenour of Mishawaka, Indiana, daughter-in-law, Patricia Alspaugh of Galena, Illinois, grandchildren; Jason (Candy) Alspaugh, Shannon (Aaron) Spaid, Jessica (Justin) Char, Cole (Michelle) Ridenour, Matthew (Ashley) Ridenour, great grandchildren; Lilly, Charlotte, Breven, Reagan, Makena, DJ, Connor, Blake, and Lauren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, David Alspaugh, brothers, Emil Wolf and Kelton Wolf, and sister, Lois Love.
Visitation will be held at Flowers-Leedy Funeral Home, 105 West Third Street, Peru, Indiana on Monday, April 24, 2023 from 1pm to 2pm. The funeral service will follow at 2pm with Pastor Donald McDowell officiating. Internment will take place next to her husband at Mount Hope Cemetery in Peru, Indiana.
