Nancy Sue Youngblood, 84, of Peru, passed away peacefully on Wednesday evening at Blair Ridge.
She was born on July 7, 1940, in Bunker Hill to John C. Comerford and Rosemary (Mylet) Jarvis, who both preceded her in death.
Nancy was a retired secretary from McGinnis Accounting in Bunker Hill. She found her greatest joy in the company of her family and friends. A devoted grandmother and great-grandmother, she cherished watching her grandchildren grow into adulthood and begin families of their own. She loved attending their sporting events, celebrating birthdays, and going on family vacations.
Nancy also served her community as a former EMT in Bunker Hill and was a faithful member of McGrawsville Community Church.
In May 1958, she married Kenneth L. Youngblood, who also preceded her in death. She is survived by her daughter, Tami (James) Jenkins of Bunker Hill, and her son, Todd (Brenda) Youngblood of Peru. Nancy was a proud grandmother to six grandchildren: Tyler Jenkins, Kodi (Stephanie) Jenkins, Ethan (Allison) Jenkins, Abbi Jenkins, Tiffany (Nick) Kersey, and Trisha (Tom) Lennon. She was also blessed with twelve great-grandchildren.
She is also survived by two brothers, Nick (Sandy) Comerford of Kokomo and John (Nancy) Comerford of Florida. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Loretta Long and Connie Kelly.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m.to 2 p.m. on Tuesday, May 27, 2025 at Flowers-Leedy Funeral Home, 105 West Third Street, Peru, Indiana followed by a funeral service at 2 p.m. with Pastor Ryan Ramsey officiating. Burial will take place at Springdale Cemetery in Bunker Hill, Indiana.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to McGrawsville Community Church.
