Mildred Hohenberger

Mildred Hohenberger, 85, of Bunker Hill, Indiana, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 25, 2023 at Aperion Care of Peru.

She was born on December 14, 1937 in Taylorsville, Georgia to Granville "Grant Pearl" and Lula (Costello) Miller. Mildred married Richard Hohenberger on April 15, 1955 and they just celebrated 68 years of marriage. Before retiring, Mildred worked at Maconaquah High School as a cook.

Mildred is survived by her husband, Richard, and their children: Doug (Irene) Hohenberger of Pendleton, Indiana, Patty Patton of Bunker Hill, Indiana, and Curtis (Annie) Hohenberger of Indianapolis, Indiana. Also surviving are grandchildren: Heather Patton, Sandy (Alejandro)Hohenberger, and Mary Ann (Travis) Bradfield, and great grandchildren: Jayke Merritt, Lukas Merritt, Maya Hohenberger, Roman Bradfield, and Leo Bradfield. Mildred is also survived by 2 sisters, Doris Gentry of Cartersville, Georgia and Joyce Gentry of Calhoun, Georgia.

Preceding Mildred in death are her parents and siblings: Clyde Miller, Henry Miller, and Inez Huskins.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 31, 2023 from 12-2pm at Allen Funeral Home, 136 South Elm Street, Bunker Hill, Indiana. A graveside service will follow at 2pm at Springdale Cemetery in Bunker Hill with Pastor Bill Sheets officiating.
