Mary Lee (Price) Root

Mary Lee Price Root 93, of Flora, IN passed peacefully into the arms of Jesus on Jan 4, 2026 at Peabody nursing home in North Manchester, IN.

She was born on May 13, 1932 in Caddo, OK to Thelbert and Mozzel Price. She was married to Emmert H. Root on September 4, 1948.

Mother was a hard worker along with daddy on their farm, an artist, and a seamstress! A woman of Godly talents!

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, sister Betty Ruth and husband Carl Harms of Modesto, CA, and son Michael James of Delano, TN. And all in laws on Emmerts side except Elder Ben Root of Pasco, WA who survives. Leaving to celebrate her homegoing are Diana  Nachatelo Root of Delano, TN, daughters Rachelle Mahin and husband Edward, Sharon Flora and husband Wayne of Flora IN, 9 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, and 10 great great grandchildren. 

A visitation will be held at Berean Dunkard Brethren church in Peru, IN Thurs Jan 8 from 9-11 am with a graveside service at 2:00 pm at Maple Lawn cemetery in Flora, IN.

Memorial donations may be made to Peabody Nursing Home facility or Guardian Angels Hospice, Logansport, IN.
