Marlin Wayne Kaukusch

Marlin Wayne Kaukusch, 78, of Peru, Indiana passed away on Thursday, March 19, 2026 at Dukes Memorial Hospital in Peru.

He was born on February 20, 1948 in Peru, Indiana to Delmar and Cleo (Galbraith) Kaukusch. Marlin served in the United States Army from February 8, 1968 to February 1, 1970. He was a Vietnam Veteran.  Marlin was retired from AT & T where he worked as a lineman. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, traveling, and spending time with family.

Marlin is survived by his sisters: Judy Wouster, Patty Jenkins, and Kathy Rogers all of Peru, Indiana, and Terry (Jeff) Salsbury of Delphi, Indiana. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews and Marlin’s lifelong friend, Jeff (Christy) Wouster of Peru, Indiana.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Delmar and Cleo Kaukusch.

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 27, 2026 from 1:00pm-3:00pm at Flowers-Leedy Funeral Home, 105 West Third Street, Peru, Indiana.  Funeral services will follow at 3:00pm with Brad Salsbury officiating. Burial will take place at Mount Hope Cemetery in Peru.

Military Honors will be provided by the Miami County Military Rites Team.
