Mark A. Rasmussen

Mark A. Rasmussen, 56, of Peru, passed away at 8:05am on Thursday, January 30, 2020 at his residence.

He was born in Peru on February 19, 1963 to Ben and Mavis (Rose) Rasmussen.  He married Toni (Spyker) Rasmussen in 1984, and she survives.

Mark lived his entire life in Peru, and was a retired Rent-a-Trailer truck driver.  He was an outdoorsman - he loved hunting and fishing.  He also loved his grandchildren dearly, and would do anything for them.  He was a member of the Independent Missionary Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, and his son, Brent Rasmussen (wife Jessica) of Peru, and his grandchildren, Mason and Kaylee.  Also surviving are brother George Rasmussen (Teresa) of Macy, and sisters Cathie Colaizzi (Jay) and Penny Frederick (Dale), both of Peru, and brother-in-law Bob Krieg.

He was preceded in death by his parents, infant brother Benji Rasmussen, and sister Velba Krieg.

Visitation will be held from 1pm – 3pm on Monday, February 3, 2020 at Flowers-Leedy Funeral Home, 105 West Third Street, Peru, Indiana.  Funeral service will follow at 3pm, with Bud Sparks and Jim Perry officiating.  Burial will take place at Mount Hope Cemetery in Peru.
