Mark James Moore

Mark James “Sarge” “Marcus” Moore, 34, passed away on Friday, July 14th, 2023, at Dukes Memorial Hospital.

He was born on March 16, 1989 in Rochester, Indiana to James Lee Moore Jr. and Wonda Fay (Livesay) Elmore. He married Harmonie Rachelle (Stiles) Moore on October 06, 2017 in Peru, Indiana.

Mark worked at Progress Rail in Peru. He took apart, cleaned, and rebuilt train engines. He had not been there long, but he enjoyed every bit of it.

He loved spending his free time outdoors more than anything. He enjoyed fishing, mushroom hunting, gun shooting, cleaning guns, spending time with his wife and all their fur babies. He enjoyed being the grill master and firework director.

In addition to his wife, Harmonie, he was survived by his child in Heaven, his six dogs and two cats, his father, James Lee Moore Jr., his mother, Wonda Fay (Livesay) Elmore and Keith Elmore, older sisters, Shea Ellen Greene (Makailyn, Lisa, Richard, Lakyiah, Lashea, James), younger brother, Justin Lee Moore and Christina Fording (Kemper, Abigail, Nevaah, Justin Jr., and Wonda), younger sister, Kyiah Ruth Elmore and Chaz Correll (Cannon), and several aunts, uncles, cousins, in-laws, and friends.

Mark is preceded in death by his child, grandparents, and other loved ones.

Visitation will be held at Flowers-Leedy Funeral Home, 105 West Third Street, Peru, Indiana on Wednesday, July 19, 2023 from 1pm to 2pm. The funeral service will follow at 2pm with Pastor Adam Wolfe officiating. Placement will take place at Memorial Lawns in Wabash, Indiana. Following placement, please join us for the gathering at 4156 South 250 East, Peru, Indiana 46970. A celebration of life will take place at Riverside Event Center, Friday, July 21st from 4pm to 8pm. Please everyone come and celebrate Mark’s new life with us.
