Marilyn J. (Personett) Fisher

Marilyn J. Fisher, 78, of Peru, passed away at 6pm on Thursday, February 20, 2020 at her home.

She was born in Peru on November 20, 1941 to Melvin and Georgia (Brewer) Personett.  She married Raymond A. Fisher on February 26, 1960, and he preceded her in death.  Marilyn was a secretary, and retired from Bryan Steam Corp.

She is survived by her children: Vicki K. Martin (Troy) of Pierceton, IN, Carla R. Ashbrook (Andy) of Peru, Jeffrey Fisher (Candace) of Peru, and Terry Fisher of Peru; as well as grandchildren Alison Ashbrook, Emily Ashbrook, Cory Martin, Kayley Fisher, Payton Martin, Jamie Miser, and Starr Miser; and great-grandchildren Finley Kellie, Kinzee Miser, Michael Miser, Sydnee Arnett, Jayden Rairigh, Tyler Rairigh, and Jacob Julian.  Also surviving are brothers Glen Personett of Knightstown, IN, and John Personett of Nappanee; and sisters Norma LeMaster of Bunker Hill, and Barbara Personett of Kokomo.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond, as well as her parents, Melvin and Georgia Personett.

Visitation will be held from 5p – 8pm on Monday, February 24, 2020 at Flowers-Leedy Funeral Home, 105 West Third Street, Peru, Indiana.  Funeral service will be held at 1pm on Tuesday, February 25, 2020 at the funeral home with Pastor Kenny Cole officiating.  Burial will take place at Mount Hope Cemetery in Peru.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Peru Public Library and the American Diabetes Association.
