Marcella (Kraning) Hively

Marcella Hively, 93, of Wabash passed away on Monday, April 28, 2025 at Wellbrooke.

She was born July 30, 1931 in Miami County to John and Mabel (Kinzie) Kraning.

Marcella married Kenneth Hively on July 18, 1954. He preceded her in death on November 11, 2012.

She was a 1949 graduate of Jefferson High School and was later employed at Kroger Egg and General Tire. She enjoyed flower gardening and traveling. Marcella and Kenneth visited all 50 states. She was a member of the Friends Church in Wabash.

Marcella is survived by her daughter, Darlene (Richard) Butzin of Roann, granddaughters, Amber (Kris) White of Roann, Sage Butzin of Bunker Hill, great grandchildren, Devin and Nyla White of Roann, and Bria Sumner, Liana and Jensen Maldonado of Bunker Hill.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and siblings, Harold (Norma) Kraning, Keith (Susie) Kraning, and Florabell Kraning.

Visitation will be held from 12pm to 2pm at Flowers-Leedy Funeral Home, 105 West Third Street, Peru on Thursday, May 1, 2025. The funeral service will follow at 2pm. Interment will take place at Greenlawn Cemetery in Mexico, Indiana.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Timbercrest Benevolence Fund, 2201 East Street North Manchester, Indiana 46962.
