Lucille "Lucy" Walker Obituary

Lucille “Lucy” Mae Walker, 14, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Friday, April 25, 2025, just shy of her 15th birthday.

She was born May 13, 2010, and shortly thereafter adopted by Alan and Julie (Leedy) Walker. She was the tiniest puppy her family had ever seen, and it was quite literally love at first sight. Even though the kids, Gracie, Colton, and Aubrie were the ones who begged for a puppy, Lucy quickly became Julie’s baby.

Although tiny, only weighing 4 pounds in her prime, Lucy was feisty and mighty sassy. She would bark and bark until she ended up getting her way - typically treats. Lucy also loved french fries, especially ones from McDonalds. She was notorious for ripping holes in fast food bags if she wasn’t given her share of fries quick enough.

Lucy loved to ride in the car. She was too small to ever see out the window, but she was just as happy curled up on anyone’s lap. Throughout her life she made countless family vacation trips to Florida, Tennessee, and Chicago. She loved to be wherever her family was, and her family certainly felt the same way.

In her younger years, Lucy was quite athletic and would play fetch with her teeny tiny tennis balls for hours if we would let her. As she got older, she enjoyed sunbathing and being cozy in blankets on the couch.

Lucy will be sorely and deeply missed by her entire family and dog brother, Schroeder. Though our hearts are utterly shattered, we find comfort in knowing she lived a beautiful life full of love and joy.

She was laid to rest near her favorite shade tree on the family property.

Please give your pets some love while you can, for their little lives are far too short.
