Lowell Berryman Obituary

Lowell Omer Berryman, 99, passed away on August 20, 2024.

He was a Peru fireman for 20 years and served as Assistant Chief. Lowell was a co-owner of a trucking company and a horse rehabilitation stable. He was a proud WWII veteran who served his time in Italy. Lowell was a member of the VFW, the Elks, and the Moose in Peru along with the Maennerchor mens lodge. He loved spending time with his family, fishing, and cooking at the fire house.

Lowell was preceded in death by his parents Merl and Letta (Azbell) Berryman; by his wife, Violet (Worthington) of 25 years; by his brother, Leonard Berryman; by a grand daughter, Heather Day Johnson, and a step son, Robert Cleveland.

Surviving family members include daughter, Susan Confer (Junior), son, Bruce Berryman (Leslie), and step-daughter, Sharon Day (Dallas). Additionally, grandchildren, Jason Faine (Christina), Adam Day (Cortney), Sarah Medina (Travis), great grandchildren, Ella Horsman (Bryan), Adreanna Faine, Josie Day, Tucker Day, Isabel Medina, Hannah Medina, Lorel Clark Getts (Ty), and four great great grandchildren, Nahmir, Myra, Mason, and Raelynn, and a brother, David Berryman.

Visitation will be held from 11am to noon on August 29, 2024 at Flowers-Leedy Funeral Home, 105 West Third Street, Peru. The funeral will follow at noon with Pastor Mark Elliott officiating. Interment will take place at Ever-Rest Memorial Park Cemetery in Logansport, Indiana.

Military funeral honors will be provided by the Miami County Military Rites Team and the Indiana Army National Guard.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Miami County Military Rites Team.
