Lilian Pyclik Obituary

Lilian May Pyclik (maiden name, Tetlow) passed away on December 28, 2023, in Ellettsville, Indiana. She was born on February 9, 1927, in Liverpool, England. Lilian was a loving and selfless person who always put her children and others before herself. Growing up in war-torn England during World War II, she learned the importance of taking care of her family and others. Her British accent and inviting personality endeared her to everyone she met.

Lilian had a deep love for animals and was known for her kind-hearted nature. She enjoyed collecting hummingbird knickknacks, sewing, crocheting, and solving crossword puzzles, and watching old westerns on TV. She met her one and only husband, Casimer, in Liverpool, England, where he was stationed during the Berlin Airlift just after World War II and then moved with her husband to the United States where she became a citizen.  Lilian and Casimer loved each other very much, and that love served as a role model for all her children.  Lilian was an excellent homemaker, ensuring that her children had everything they needed. She will be dearly missed, especially her good disposition whenever her kids teased her.

Lilian is survived by her sons, Mark Pyclik of Bloomington, Indiana, and Brad Pyclik (and his wife, Jill Pyclik) of Peru, Indiana; her daughter, Barbara Pyeritz (and her husband, Mark Pyeritz) of Peru, Indiana; her brother, Ronnie Tetlow of Liverpool, England; her grandchildren, Stuart Pyclik (and his wife, Alice Pyclik) of Lincoln, NE; Jessica Pyclik of Lafayette, IN; Jonathan Pyclik of Bloomington, IN; Tabitha Pyclik (and Robert Braun) of Enid, OK; Joelynn Stephen (and her husband, Robin Stephen) of Munster, IN; Nathan Pyeritz (and Heather Oliver) of Statesboro, GA; and her great-grandchildren, Seth Braun of Enid, OK, and James Pyclik of Lincoln, NE.

Lilian was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Casimer Walter Pyclik, and her siblings Eric Tetlow, Peggy Tetlow, and Elsie Tetlow.

Lilian's primary focus was her family, and she dedicated her life to being a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She will be remembered for her kindness, generosity, and unwavering love for her family.
