Larry E. Miller, 71, of Peru, Indiana, peacefully passed away on June 5, 2026 in Justin, Texas.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Dale Miller and Jean Smith Fortin; his brother, Gary Miller; and his sister, Nancy Jo Miller. He is survived by his sister, Coral Beard; his son, Patrick Miller; and his grandchildren, Kalissa Miller and Gavin Miller.
Larry's life was marked by resilience, determination, and a generous spirit. Following a tragic automobile accident more than four decades ago that left him permanently disabled, he faced challenges that would have defined many people. Instead, Larry chose to move forward with strength and perseverance, making the best of the life he was given.
Those who knew Larry often spoke of his kind heart and willingness to help others. Family members fondly recalled his protective nature and the care he showed for those he loved. He faced life's hardships without making excuses and taught those around him the value of persistence, endurance, and simply continuing forward when the road was difficult.
Though life brought him many challenges, Larry's strength of character remained constant. He will be remembered with love, respect, and gratitude by his family and all who knew him.
A private graveside service will be held for family and friends at Rankin Cemetery in Miami County, Indiana on Saturday, June 13, 2026 beginning at 11am.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that those wishing to honor Larry's memory perform an act of kindness for someone in need."
