Landin C. Hicks

Landin C. Hicks, 86, of Peru, passed away at 3:07pm on Tuesday, December 29, 2020.

He was born on October 2, 1934 in Newcomb, TN to Albert and Ethel Martin Hicks.  He married Ines C. See on July 13, 1956, and she preceded him in passing.  They had three children: Landin M. Hicks (who also preceded him in passing), Timothy L. Hicks (Tina) of Kokomo, and Sandra D. Corn (Howard) of Twelve Mile; as well as six grandkids.  Also surviving are brother Melvis Hicks (Barb) of Hoover, and sister Azaleen Hicks-Baker (Ernie) of Peru.  Landin was also preceded in passing by five brothers, and two sisters.

He worked at Guildcrest Furniture for 30 years, until they closed.  He was a proud member of the American Legion Post #15, the Fraternal Order of Eagles #2688, and the Moose Lodge #249.

Visitation will be held from 11am – 1pm on Saturday, January 2, 2021 at Flowers-Leedy Funeral Home, 105 West Third Street, Peru, Indiana.  Funeral service will follow at 1pm with Pastor Phil Cruea officiating.  Burial will take place at Greenlawn Cemetery in Mexico, Indiana.  Military service will be provided by the Miami County Military Rites Team.
