Kyong “Kay” Gimlin, 68, of Peru, went to be with the Lord at 9:30am, Wednesday, August 18, 2021 at her home. She was born Jan. 9, 1953 in Busan, South Korea, to Heung-Jung An and Geum-Soon Baek.
Kyong worked at Smithfield Foods in Peru. She was a member of Kokomo Assembly of God Korean Church. Kyong loved spending time with her family and friends. She also loved visiting her home country of South Korea where her siblings reside, and enjoyed charity work while there.
She is survived by two children, Samantha (Jeff) Friedersdorf of Wabash, and Alexander (Danielle) Gimlin of Denver, CO; her brothers, Jae-Hong An, and Jae-Gab An of Yangsan, South Korea; her sisters, Kyoung-Suk An of Busan, South Korea, Mi-Seong An, and Mi-Hwa An of Yangsan, South Korea; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents. Her family will honor her memory at a later date.
Preferred memorial is Kokomo Assembly of God Korean Church.
