Karen "Sue" (Blythe) Stapleton

Karen Sue Stapleton passed away 11/26/2022 with her family by her side at Community Howard Hospital.

Most knew her as Sue or Susie Q.

She is preceded in death by her father, James R. Blythe, mother, Hattie Blythe, brother, Jim Blythe, nephew, Richard Blythe, brother-in-law that was like her brother, William Ray, and her baby, Heather Stapleton.

Sue is survived by her son Steve (Denise) Ostafin, daughter Melissa (Danny Clifton Jr.), sister Dianne Ray, brother Rick (Angie) Blythe, 7 grandchildren; Trista (Leroy) Clemons, Erin Bales, Stephanie Ostafin, Steven Ostafin, Zane Stapleton (favorite), Kain Starkey, and 5 great grandchildren.

Mom loved us all and we loved her. She would do anything for us and we would do anything for her. She gave us what we needed and it was the best we ever had. She sided with us no matter what and we were with her no matter what. When our little sister died, our mother couldn’t stay here, she had to go find her because she was our mom. Our mom and sister are now together just like they were here on Earth. We love her unconditionally and cherish the time she gave us. Heather, Melissa, and I are grateful to have known her and blessed beyond words to have had the honor of calling her mother. Thank you mom for giving us everything you had and we love you for eternity.

A graveside service will be held 11am at Springdale Cemetery in Bunker Hill, Indiana on Wednesday, November 30, 2022 with Pastor Toph Elkins and Pastor Dustin Smith officiating.
