Karen S. (McDougle) Myers

Karen S. Myers, 74, of Peru passed away on Tuesday, September 16, 2025 at Community Howard Hospital in Kokomo, Indiana.

She was born on February 24, 1951 in Peru, Indiana to Vernon and Elizabeth Irene (Turnpaugh) McDougle.

Karen loved spending time first and foremost with family and friends. She was an avid collector of angels. She loved being outside and working in her garden. Karen enjoyed reading and baking. She could make anything…her waffles were amazing!

She is survived by her children: Susan (Joe) Townsend of Peru, Daniel Myers of Bloomington, and Michael Myers of Peru. Also surviving are 3 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, 3 brothers: Clarence “Bud” McDougle of Peru, Jerry McDougle of California, Kevin (Bonnie) McDougle of Lafayette, and sister Cathy (Dallas) Bradshaw of Texas.  She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great  nieces  and great nephews.

Karen was preceded in death by her parents and 2 brothers, Donnie McDougle and Daryl McDougle.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, September 21, 2025 from 2:00pm-4:00pm at Flowers-Leedy Funeral Home, 105 West Third Street, Peru, Indiana. Burial will take place at Ever-Rest Memorial Park Cemetery at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
