Julie Ann (Hawkins) Corbit, 66, of Kokomo, Indiana passed away on Saturday, May 23, 2026 at her grandson’s residence.
She was born February 15, 1960 in Kokomo, Indiana to Larry Lee Hawkins and Jannie Kay (McKinney) Witt.
Julie attended Haworth High School. She enjoyed cooking and throughout her life worked at numerous restaurants, including Hacienda for many years. She dearly loved the classical Hollywood Era and Golden Age of Glamour. Free spirited and nostalgic all in one.
Julie is survived by her children Jennifer Corbit of Kokomo and Jared Corbit of Frankfort.
Also surviving is her mother, Jannie Witt of Bunker Hill, sister, Page Smith of Bunker Hill, brother, Travis Witt of Kokomo, grandson, Adidas Michael Mayfield (fiancée Brittany Gibbs) of Kokomo, along with 4 other grandchildren and her great-grandchildren; Maverick Mayfield, Raelynn Cook, and Elijah Gibbs. She is also survived by her nephew Dalton Smith, niece, Mikayla Witt and special lifelong friend Dewey Bates, all of Kokomo.
She was preceded in death by her father Larry Hawkins and her step-father, Franklin Witt.
Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, May 27, 2026 at 1:00 PM at Rankin Cemetery in Bunker Hill, Indiana.
