Judy Gale (Minick) Sparks

Our beloved Judy Gale, devoted wife and mother, and grandmother joyfully went to go live in her eternal home with the Lord Jesus on October 20, 2023 around noon.

She was born on February 5, 1958 in Peru, Indiana to the late Jody Elvin and Viola (Stewart) Minick. Judy married John Sparks on June 16, 2000 and he survives.

Upon walking in her house, one would be greeted with a smile and a warm hug. She would either be cooking or “downsizing.” She had her own “Judy” tea. She loved being outside so she could mushroom hunt, fish, or simply soak up sunshine and listen to the birds on the back porch. Her love and laughter will reside within the ones who knew her, especially with her husband, her children, her grandchildren, and her family forever.

In addition to her husband, Judy is survived by her children; John (Amanda) Minns of Chili, Indiana, Amy (Chad) Kuhlman of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Courtney Sparks of Kokomo, Indiana, Kelli (Adam) Ritchie of Peru, Indiana, 15 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, and sisters; Virginia (Ray) Smith of Peru, Indiana, Evelyn (James) White of Peru, Indiana, Lynn (Chris) Minick of Russiaville, Indiana, Sharlene (Al) Orpurt of Peru, Indiana, and Sharon (Ed) Kaiser of Peru, Indiana.

She is preceded in death by her parents and brother, Gary Wayne Minick.

Visitation will be held from 1pm to 3pm on Wednesday, October 25, 2023 at Flowers-Leedy Funeral Home, 105 West Third Street, Peru, Indiana. The funeral service will follow at 3pm with Bruce Koenig officiating.
