Judith Lynn Oaks McElheny

On Saturday, September 14, 2013 Judith Lynn Oaks -McElheny passed away. She was born in Loraine, OH to Edgar C. Oaks and Isabell "Billie" May Oaks, both deceased. She was also preceded in death by her grandmother Elsie Forney and sister Carol Stuart. She is survived by 3 sons, Jeff Saylor (Debbie),Peru, - Troy Saylor (Micki), Macy, IN and Brady Saylor (Shelly), Logansport, IN -- 1 daughter Davenee Benge (Matt), Indianapolis, IN. She is also survived by 1 brother, Steve Oaks, Indianapolis, IN., and 2 sisters, Paula Foht, Peru, and Candy Ashby, (Mac), Brownsburg, IN.. Grandchildren - Jason, Justin, Jayme, Brianna, Ryan, Brandon, Breanna, Matthew & Jacob. Great Grandchildren - Violet and Jeffery. Many nieces and nephews. Judy loved to cook, famous for her pies. She enjoyed camping, sewing, gardening and she loved her animals. Judy was an amazing mother, she was so proud of her children. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren were her pride and joy. She was loved by many, and will be missed by many more. Services are being entrusted to Flowers-Leedy Funeral Home, Peru, IN. Viewing will be at the Chapel Ministries Outreach Church, 400 N & US 31, Peru, IN. on Wednesday, September 18 from 4-7. Services will be held at the church at 10 am on Thursday, September 19th., officiated by Pastor Tom Robbins. Burial will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Peru, IN. Memorial contributions may be made to the Kokomo Rescue Mission.
