Joyce N. (Sansorn) Ray

Joyce N. (Sansorn) Ray, age 67, Peru, IN, passed away at 2:56 p.m. on July 4, 2016, at home surrounded by loved ones. She was born on November 15, 1948, in Hickman, KY to the late Edward Merritt and Sarah Lilly (Cooper) Sansorn.

Joyce dedicated her life to raising her four children, Randy Ray (Peru, IN), Donald Ray (Bloomington, IN), Jason Ray (Peru, IN), and Amber (Ray) Crossland (Peru, IN).

On May 15, 1965, she married Thomas Herschelle Ray. He preceded her in death on 6/26/2C)09.

Survivors include her children Randy (Dawna) Ray (Peru, IN), Donald (Christine) Ray (Bloomington, IN), Jason (Cindi) Ray (Peru, IN), and Amber (John) (Ray) Crossland (Peru, IN). Her grandchildren Adam Ray, Brandon Ray, James Ray, Jon Ray, Jason (Jassie) Ray, Jr., Blake Ray, Jade Crossland, Rayven Crossland, Devin Crossland, and Storm Crossland; along with several great-grandchildren.

Her husband (Thomas Herschelle Ray), parents (Edward Merritt and Sarah Lilly (Cooper) Sansom), two brothers, Richard Sansom and Blundell Sansom, and one sister, Christine (Sansom) Odell, preceded her in death.

There will be no services. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
