Joyce Arlene (Phillips) Oakes

Joyce Arlene Oakes, 64, of Peru, passed away at 1:45am on Friday, March 26, 2021 at Aperion Healthcare.

She was born in Kokomo on January 28, 1957 to James and Wanda (Stites) Phillips.  She was a homemaker, and a member of the Apostolic Revival Center.  She enjoyed attending church, shopping, cappuccino, reading her Bible, and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her children, Chris Oakes and Kimberly Oakes, both of Peru, as well as two grandchildren, Cyren Oakes and Brycen Oakes.

She was preceded in death by her parents, as well as brother Jackie Phillips, and sisters Brenda Smith and Vickie Long.

Visitation will be held from 1pm – 2pm on Thursday, April 1, 2021 at the Apostolic Revival Center Church, 307, Wampler Street, Peru, Indiana.  Funeral service will follow at 2pm, with Pastor Chris Reed officiating.
