Jerid S. Ramos

Jerid Scott Ramos, 43, of Peru, IN, passed away on Saturday, July 25, 2026, in Fort Wayne, IN. Born in Peru on October 31, 1982, to parents David and Sue Ramos, Jerid graduated from Maconaquah High School in 2001.

He lived and worked throughout Indiana for the past 25 years, calling the Peru area home and serving the surrounding communities of Kokomo, Logansport, Rochester, and Wabash. Jerid was a man of deep creativity, with a passion for art, drama, and the guitar. He could often be found working on his latest artistic project.

Jerid was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ray and Shirley Ramos, and James Starkey; his uncles, Randy and Michael Ramos; and his nephew, Austin Ramos.

The memories of his life will be cherished by his parents, David and Sue; his brothers, Jamie (Crystal) and Jonathan; his daughters, Jasmine and Aubrey Ramos; his son, Xavier Ramos; and his grandson, James Elliot Vest. He also leaves behind his nieces and nephews, including Alyssa, Andrew, Lacey, Lauren, and Emma Ramos, and Charlie Isebrand.

Viewing and funeral services for Jerid are scheduled at Flowers-Leedy Funeral Home, 105 West 3rd Street, Peru, Indiana 46970, followed by a graveside gathering at Mount Hope Cemetery, 411 N. Grant Street, Peru.

Jerid’s pallbearers will be his brother, Jamie Ramos; his uncles, Joe and Jimmy Starkey; his cousins, Cory and Aaron Starkey; and his nephew, Andrew Ramos.

Services will be held on Thursday, July 30th. The viewing runs from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM EST, with the funeral service commencing immediately at 1:00 PM EST. The day will conclude with the graveside gathering at the cemetery. Jerid’s father, David Ramos, will be conducting the services.
