Jennifer “Jenny” Lynn Burnett, 45, of Peru, passed away and gained her wings peacefully at home on Friday, December 25, 2020.
She was born in Logansport, IN on June 22, 1975 to William & Joyce Coffman. She married Michael D. Burnett on July 13, 2014. Jennifer was a Certified Nurse Aid for 20 years and genuinely enjoyed taking care of her patients until she became disabled and retired. After retiring, Jennifer enjoyed playing bingo, decorating for the holidays especially Christmas, fishing and camping, spending time with her family, and spoiling her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband Michael Burnett, her mother Joyce Owen, her children Kourtney (Alex) Burrus, Devin (Maria) Coffman and Braxton (Kaitlyn) Jones, Michael “Mikey” Burnett, Otilia “Cici” (Juan) Sanchez, and Van “Bam Bam” Jackson, and grandchildren Dwayne, Kaleb, Harmony, Aria, Kalaya, & Kalyus. She is also survived by her siblings Billy (Nancy) Coffman, Josh Coffman, and step siblings Terri Hooker, Beth Ann Owen Seegert, Dale Owen, Skip Owen, Traci Owen, & Mandi Hartleroad. Also, sisters-in-laws Poppy (Leland) Wilson, Teresa White, and Geneva; as well as brother-in-law Jason Burnett and father-in-law Van (Carol) Jackson. Jennifer will be held in the hearts of many nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends who wait to be reunited with her again in Heaven.
She was preceded in death by her father William Coffman, stepfather Clarence Owen, mothers-in-law Joyce & Mary, her grandparents Everett & Lorene Monroe, uncles Bob, Jack, Danny, Tom, Butch, and Junior Monroe, and granddaughter Kalexa Burrus.
Friends may call from 11am to 1:30pm on Thursday, December 31, 2020 at Flowers-Leedy Funeral Home, 105 West Third Street, Peru, Indiana. A private family service will follow at 1:30pm, with Darrin Monroe officiating. Burial will take place at Ever-Rest Memorial Park in Logansport, Indiana.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, face coverings will be required and social distancing guidelines will be observed.
