Jeffrey "Jeff" Lee Mowery

Jeffrey L. Mowery passed away at 6:30pm on June 8, 2024 at Peabody Nursing Home in North Manchester.

Jeff was the son of Teddy and Jacqueline Mowery. He was born on July 1, 1954. Jeff served in the US Air Force and was a member of the First Baptist Church.

Jeff will be greatly missed by many family and friends, especially his son, Brent Mowery (Kelsey), grandson, Bryson, Cowen Matthew, brothers, Tim (Barb) Mowery, Rick (Cathy) Mowery, and nieces & nephews, Michael (Missy), Michelle, Justin (Sasha), Kyle (Amanda), and Brittany (Larry).

Jeff enjoyed family get togethers, cook outs, cooking, air shows, and talking on the CB radio with friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Teddy and Jacqueline, and son, Matthew Levon Mowery.

As Jeff would say, “Its time to put a log on the fire and hunker down.”

Visitation will be held from 11am to 1pm on Thursday, June 13, 2024 at Mount Hope Cemetery Chapel, 411 Grant Street, Peru, Indiana. The funeral service will follow at 1pm with Pastor Dustin Smith officiating. Interment will take place at Mount Hope Cemetery.
