Jeffrey "Jeff" Leon Mckinley

Jeffrey Leon McKinley., 58, of Wabash Indiana passed away on Monday, August 17, 2026. Jeffrey was born September 17, 1967, in Wabash, Indiana. Jeffreys parents were Kenneth McKinley and Bonnie (Watson) McKinley. He is survived by his Wife Nicholette (Herrell) McKinley and his daughter Maeve McKinley of Wabash, Indiana. He is also survived by his daughter Julia McKinley of South Korea (Greentown, Indiana.) He is proceeded in death by both of his parents Kenneth and Bonnie McKinley; His brother Kenneth McKinley Jr., and his sister Louise McKinley.

Jeffrey served our country in the United States Marine Corps as an Antitank Assaultman from February 2, 1988 to February 1, 1992, serving in Desert Storm/ Desert Shield.

Jeffrey just recently celebrated 34 years as a Paperworks Industries employee in Wabash, Indiana. Jeffrey worked back in Raw Stock as a forklift driver in Receiving.

Jeffrey enjoyed reading books on all the different sciences. You could never tell what he would choose as a topic of interest during a conversation. He was very intelligent and wise. Jeffrey loved watching movies with his wife and daughter. Most of all Jeffrey was a Stand-up Comedian. Jeffrey had started doing Stand-Up in the 90’s and had a falling out but returned in 2022 and has been with it ever since. If you know Jeffrey, you know how much he could light up a room. Jeffrey loved making people laugh and he loved watching everyone grow in their talents. He even convinced his wife to give it a shot. Jeffrey spent his life capturing the microphone and commanding the room, but his greatest talent was how deeply he loved his family and friends. To know him was to laugh, and to be loved by him was a true gift. He brought joy into every room he walked into, giving us a lifetime of unscripted laughter. Though he has left the stage, he left the world infinitely brighter, and the warmth of his light will stay with us forever.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 26, 2026 from 1:00pm-3:00pm at Flowers-Leedy Funeral Home, 105 West Third Street, Peru, Indiana. A funeral service will follow at 3:00pm.
