James "Jim" Allen White

James “Jim” Allen White, 66, of Peru passed away on Friday, October 2, 2026 at home.

He was born on November 8, 1959, in Peru, Indiana to Melvin Hugh and Florence Lorraine White.

Jim was a journeyman at Nixon Printing, Peru Tribune, and Pharos Tribune.

He loved Jesus and his family. Jim never met a stranger and would talk to anyone and everyone. Jim was a jokester and had a joke for any occasion. He loved listening to music and singing loudly for everyone who was around. He adored his children and grandchildren. He made sure to tell people how proud he was of his kids and grandkids.

He is survived by his children, Blake (Brandy) Turpen, Peru, James Jr. (Diana)White, Peru, Michael (Bethann) White, Peru, Lance Shotts, Peru, Kimberly (Billy) Rakestraw, Peru, Cheyenne (Jacob) Musall, Peru, Dakota White, Logansport; his grandchildren: Elizabeth, Phoenix, Paisley, Ellie, Eli, Peyton, Damian, Destiny, Chance, James, Melanie, Dakota, Peyton, Trey, Genesis, Gracelyn, Connor, Aubriana, Leland, Ayden, Amelia, Jamison, Journee, Emma, and Emerson. He is also survived by his brother, Michael Foster of California and his niece, Jessica (Chad) Kropczynski of Bunker Hill, Indiana.

He is preceded in death by his parents, and two sisters, Pamela Latta and Angela Rogers.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the funeral home to offset funeral expenses.
