Jack R. Baldwin

Jack R. Baldwin, 88, fell into the Lord’s Heavenly fishing net when he passed away on Wednesday, August 26, 2020 at Miller’s Merry Manor in Peru, Indiana.

Born May 22, 1932, in Peru, he was the son of Louis and Helen Baldwin. On September 29, 1951, he married his greatest catch, Mae Ellen Kintner.  She survives.

Survivors also include his sons, Richard (Deanise) Baldwin of Monroe City, Missouri and Chuck Baldwin of Peru, Indiana; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Frank Baldwin and three sons Dan Baldwin, Joe Baldwin and Marty Baldwin.

Jack spent many years serving local residents as the most reliable plumber in Peru. Upon retiring, he was able to spend more time doing what he had loved his entire life, fishing. On any given day, you could find him at the local fishing hole, stocking up on fish for a future fish fry. Perhaps more than anything, Jack loved serving others through multiple church ministries. He was an outstanding husband, father, grandfather and servant of the Lord.

Visitation will be from 10:00a.m.-1:00p.m. on Monday, August 31, 2020, at Flowers-Leedy Funeral Home, 105 West Third Street, Peru, Indiana. An intimate service will follow at 1:00p.m. with Elder Steve Ice officiating.  Burial will be at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Peru.  Memorial contributions may be made to Miller’s Merry Manor, Peru, Indiana.
